This versatile set of high quality cutters allows you to produce decorative effects or functional joints. By varying the position of the shims and the combination of the cutters you can produce channels, steps, tongue and groove joints, and wood cookie slots. This set can cut virtually any groove between 6.4mm and 18mm, following the table below. You will also be able to use the individual cutters for precision grooves. The kit includes 3.2 - 4 - 4.8 - 6.4mm tungsten carbide tipped cutters, a Ø12 or 12.7mm cutter shaft, a Ø22mm bearing for 12.8mm depth of cut and 0.1 to 4mm thicknesses.
Safety recommendations: never use the step kit without the shims between the discs. The thickness between each disc can vary from a minimum of 1mm to a maximum of 1.7mm. The shims must also be used between the bearing and the disc cutters.
Suggestions: We recommend that you attach the electric milling machine to a bench equipped with a guide. This will allow you a better regulation of the cutting depth and greater safety conditions.
Precautions: the cutters must not have any contact points, especially in the cutting parts; these must be staggered as shown in the adjacent drawing. Use only the shims supplied in the kit.
